The snake is an animal that has found its place in the collections of Maison Boucheron. An animal which is not figurative but whose head is evoked by a lapis lazuli "drop" whose deep blue catches the eye. While twisted, another characteristic element of the Serpent Bohème collection, the pattern seems to wrap around the earlobe, evoking the movement of the animal. Finally, the pair also stands out for their work with gold, the undeniable know-how of Boucheron artisans, gold sculptors.

History

Boucheron is one of the Houses that Françoise finds unfairly forgotten. Founded by Frédéric Boucheron in 1893, the jewelry house was the first to set up on Place Vendôme in 1893. Since then, four generations of direct descendants have succeeded each other. Boucheron was a pioneer on a large number of watchmaking and jewelry subjects, offering pieces rivaling technical innovations, avant-garde designs and creativity.

In 1888, Frédéric Boucheron, on the eve of a trip, gave his wife a necklace in the shape of a snake as a token of love and protection. It was only much later, in 1968, that the Serpent Bohème collection was created. A collection that has crossed generations, becoming a Boucheron classic.
