The Panthère that is not another Panthère
Description
Undoubtedly the most subtle mix between watch and jewel, this watch passes as a jewel cuff, with the blue mother-of-pearl dial that underlines Cartier's jeweler roots. The invisible clasp, the absence of crown (time is set by a pushbutton on the back of the dial) and the rather small dial size preserve perfectly the harmony of this cuff.
How to wear it?
This piece between jewelry and horlogy is very easy to wear. This model also exists in yellow gold, which would really attract it too much on the jewelry side. Here, in its steel version, it goes just as much with jeans like the steel watch that it remains as with a dressier dress, like the cuff with small links and mother-of-pearl that it also is.
Why did Françoise choose it ?
With its 9 rows of small rounded links, the Panthère Ruban (ribbon) is undoubtedly one of the most comfortable bracelets that Françoise has ever worn. She prefers the Panthère Ruban when it has a "jeweler" dial like those in mother-of-pearl. Françoise loves this model, which allows her to wear a cuff that tells the time, or a watch that looks like a jewel.
History
The Maison Cartier launched the Panthère range at the end of the 1980s. It was an immediate success, both for men and women. We quickly saw the Panthère on the wrists of Keith Richards, Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna... The success was such that Cartier quickly declined the range in several sizes, several materials, and above all, several shapes, like this Panthère Ruban.
The protective insert, maintained by nails, calls to the Panthère roots, but with a rare originality.
