Iconic, and traditional!
Description
A gold case, overflowing side stretchers, a railway-shaped minute scale, blue hands and a winding crown decorated with a sapphire cabochon: all the codes of the Tank Louis Cartier are set. Immediately recognizable by its iconic design , this watch has lost none of its charm. It is elegant, practical and very comfortable on the wrist.
It will first of all please those who like fairly flat watches, thus harmonizing with the lines of the hand. A watch that will also touch connoisseurs because it is a model with manual movement with a "Paris" dial, the secret signature of the House indicating Parisian manufacturing.
Thanks to its white dial, it can be combined with the strap color of your choice, according to tastes and seasons, combined with a gold folding clasp.
How to wear it?
This Tank Louis Cartier is truly perfect in all circumstances. A watch that is a pleasure to wear and look at. It is particularly suitable for everyday life, perfect for work as well as in the evening because it can be both casual and elegant.
Why did Françoise choose it?
Because it is a watch that we can only recommend. It is essential, both from a historical and stylistic point of view. A watch that will never lose its value, especially with a manual movement and the mention of "Paris". It is par excellence the watch that we take pleasure in passing on, a piece that combines technique and aesthetics: functionality, elegance and prowess are essential. The Tank "was brilliantly created to remain eternally contemporary". That is why we have complete confidence in it.
History
It was in 1917 that the Tank watch, called Normale, appeared in honor of the heroes of the First World War and whose design was inspired by the first tanks. Five years later, the Tank Louis Cartier was designed, a model very similar to the first but with a more elongated dial and thinner and more rounded stretchers. Several generations followed one another, keeping the same identity codes but adapting to new watchmaking technologies such as quartz. Many celebrities adopted it such as Jackie Kennedy, Lady Diana, Alain Delon, Catherine Deneuve, Yves Saint-Laurent, Gary Cooper, Johnny Hallyday and Sophia Coppola to name a few. Will you be next?
