The Chanel Première is a real jewel on the wrist. Most often on a steel mesh bracelet, this model is mounted on a black shiny leather strap with an 18-carat yellow gold clasp, like when Chanel mounted them on fine straps. Even more elegant, more dressed up, even more "the little black dress". The strap surrounds an 18-carat yellow gold case framed with brilliant-cut diamonds. A delicate case whose glass, with its cut facets, is similar to that of the precious stone par excellence.

As if to complete the story of this watch, it was sold at the historic address of 42 avenue Montaigne in Paris. It comes with its sales papers and its Chanel pouch.

History

This watch was imagined by Jacques Helleu and launched in 1987. Taking up the visual codes introduced by Gabrielle Chanel, the Chanel Première has an innovative design inspired by the lines of the N°5 perfume and the outline of Place Vendôme. Through its lines and the facets of its sapphire crystal, the Première breaks with the codes of traditional watchmaking. It was such a success that Chanel dedicated its own boutique for it on rue Montaigne in Paris. Only available in three references when it was launched, the model would be the first watch imagined exclusively for women by Chanel.
