Let yourself be carried by the wind

Description

How can we not mention the delicacy of this feather? A design with fine lines that demonstrates a great sense of detail so dear to Tiffany. A characteristic that can be found in the House's creations and which has made its reputation. The feather is made of brushed 18-carat yellow gold, giving the piece more volume and character. The light falls on it, contrasting with the central line in smooth polished gold.

A pair of earrings that are both elegant and discreet. With their curved lines, they also highlight the facial features of the wearer.

Why did Françoise choose them?

Françoise found the design of these earrings quite timeless and graphic. The feather is stylized, moving away from its purely naturalistic aspect. An everyday jewel to wear in all circumstances. It could be the ideal gift for a young girl although it is a piece with a transgenerational style.

History

The first mention of the House of Tiffany appeared in 1837 in New York when Charles Lewis Tiffany and John Barnett Young joined forces to form the company Tiffany and Young. It was in 1853 that the company was renamed Tiffany & Co. Tiffany's reputation as the "diamond king" was established in the late 1840s by the purchase and repatriation of precious stones to the United States from European aristocrats. A status consecrated by the Tiffany Setting Engagement Ring Launch in 1886, an essential symbol of the marriage proposal. Tiffany was the first American House to establish the 925/1000 standard for silver. It began creating gold jewelry in 1868, thus expanding its offering and customer base.
The jeweler has always been able to demonstrate avant-gardism by working with talented designers who gave a new lease of life to jewelry, like the legendary Jean Schlumberger, Paloma Picasso and Elsa Peretti. The latter democratized the wearing of jewelry, in silver as well as gold, by imagining pieces that could be worn daily.
